Ok, in the vain hope that perhaps someone looking to sell something interesting might search the net and find my blog, I’m going to go through my wish list for fine art I’d pay an arm and a leg (much of this stuff would cost me that) to buy. First up:
Works by Anders Aldrin, 20th Century impressionist artist. His works cover local, Swedish, and other subjects, but are mostly California landscapes and portraits. His oils are amazing, with enough impasto to poke your eye out. After seeing such great paintings, I would be tempted to do so! Seeing prints and pics online do not do these paintings justice. Even his small-scale pieces show a mastery that most impressionists lack, to my eye.
My wife and I were lucky enough to see his works at the local Triton Museum of Art and we’re forever indebted to them for exhibiting such a large number of his pieces.
My favorites include:
Boat on Frozen Lake
Big Tujunga
Swedish Landscape
Lake Vanern
