My Favorite RSS Readers

After struggling with RSS in Thunderbird 2.0b1 (WTF is up wit dat? Confused concepts of folders and feeds) I decided to strike out and try finding a new reader for OSX that is a better fit. Thankfully, Vienna seems to fit my bill. Simple UI, ability to “delete” articles I’ve read, and it’s free and being continuously updated. I can certainly see some room for improvement but it’s not bad at all.

For my PPC6700 phone, I use pRSSReader for reading on the go, very nice! I will load pRSSReader up with a couple day’s worth of news and read ‘em offline while on the plane.

While I’m at it, I use Adium for my IM client on OSX (used to use Fire, but had too many bugs. :^( )

testing from my mobile

Sprint PPC6700

So I’m testing from my Sprint PPC6700 phone, I’ve already encountered one challenge…too many fields! The form is difficult to view and navigate, perhaps there are some decent apps built for this sort of thing, and hopefully they’re not .NET (I refuse to install the .NET Compact Framework, it is neither compact nor does it really work, and it lacks frames too, I s’pose…)

Oh, and there’s no easy way to upload photos from my picture phone, at least that I know of, yet…
